This self catering accommodation is a wonderful pace to stay. This eco-lodge is built from recycled and sustainable materials. There is 10cm of insulation materials in the floor, walls and ceiling! It also has heat retaining double glazed windows and doors, keeping your accomodation cosy in the winter months and cool in the summer!….and also quiet! It also has underfloor heating for those colder months!
The accommodation is 42ft long by 12ft wide. Within it there is a double bedroom, bunk room (suitable for children), a fully equipped bathroom, well appointed kitchen and living area. Just outside the lounge area is a deck area to eat and live al fresco.
The Pod has mains water and electricity. Waste water is processed by a unique Klagester system. Dirty water is treated and sanitised before then going back into the river.
The boatyard has plenty of parking and and 2 spaces are reserved for you. It has full security systems to ensure your peace of mind.
The lounge has a comfortable 2 person sofa, leather armchair and a footstool with storage. For that extra guest there is also a bean bag??. There is a cupboard stocked with games and pamphlets of local takeaways and places of interest. By the sofa there is also mains plugs with USB charging point.
This area also has the thermostat for the underfloor heating, cozy for the cooler nights.
Around the glass dining table, there are four comfortable chairs. The Pod is equipped with crockery and glassware for any dining event for 4 people.
The kitchen is fully equipped with sink, with hot and cold water, a microwave, kettle, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is an induction hob and an oven. It is fully stocked with cookware for you to be able to prepare meals as required. There is also a washing machine if you are here for a longer stay.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed, with bedside cabinets and lights. There is underbed storage and a convenient space saving rail for hanging your clothes.
There is also a remote controlled 24″ TV, and useful mains sockets with USB charging points for your use.
Next door is the bunk room. The bunk beds are most suitable for children, but they are 3ft wide so they can accommodate adults if required.
Staying on the river is a unique experience. Let yourself be gently rocked to sleep by the calming movement of the river as it ebbs and flows.
The bathroom, situated opposite the bunk room, makes excellent use of space. The eco-toilet uses the Klargester system tank to process waste. The sink with hot and cold water has a cupboard underneath to store toiletries. A full size shower completes the bathroom. (what sort of boiler does it use?).
