A really lovely place. Cozy, bright, thoughtfully decorated. Amazing attention to detail. Upon arrival we were met immediately even though we were around an hour late. We had a welcome card and a bottle of Prosecco chilled in an ice bucket. She even had duck and swan food and we were visited every day by a very tame and friendly swan. The fridge was stocked with all the essentials. We literally could not have wished for more. We can not recommend Teresa’s lovely riverboat highly enough.

A stylish quirky place to stay. Great facilities and lovely surprises for the kids and adults – won’t reveal! Teresa is a great host. Very friendly, punctual and informative. Recommended.

Luxury on a river. We booked to try something a little different. We absolutely loved it. Usually we would venture out on holiday for evening meals, but it was so chilled here we didn’t want to leave and preferred to sit in front of the pod with a meal and a glass of wine watching the world go by. The kids loved crab fishing and meeting the resident swan. We wanted for nothing. Teresa is an amazing host and knows the area so really helped with guiding us on the best places to go. So glam and clean inside too. 5 ?

This is a wonderful place to stay – I could get so used to waking up on a riverboat. It’s new, clean, with a more-spacious-than anticipated main living area.

Teresa provided everything we needed and then some – the kitchen was stocked with all kinds of breakfast food and condiments. There was even food for the swans/ducks!

Next time we’re in the area, I wouldn’t even think about staying anywhere else.

The Riverpod was great. We had a fabulous weekend. The place was spotlessly clean and Teresa went that extra mile for us this weekend. (Even went and did a little shop for some bits for us) The welcome pack with all the little extra’s really made the children feel extra special and they didnt want to come home. The place is stocked up with everything from tea bags to soap, shower gel and cotton buds. The place has a very luxurios feel to it and we will definatley be recommending this place to our family and friends. Thanks again Teresa we had a great time. XX

Teresa obviously loved seeing our reaction to the property and to all the little touches she had provided for us. That lets you know how much pride she takes in being a host! The attention to detail meant that we didn’t want for anything and that translated directly into valuable holiday time for us as a family. The kids loved being by the water and it made us feel relaxed as soon as we arrived.

3 of us stayed in May over bank holiday weekend. Unique accommodation in a beautiful setting with everything you needed though of.

The River Pod was amazing, nicely decorated and Teresa & Ian had thought of everything , bubbly & chocolates on arrival, any tea/coffee you could think of with biscuits and Full range of breakfast items (which we weren’t expecting also provided) so you could easily cook up a feast. In the bathroom Shampoo, Conditioner Soap and Shower Gel all provided and the shower was powerful. There was games in the cupboard and even duck and swan food to feed the visitors.

The location is walkable from lots of pubs, the marina area lovely and quiet and not many people around in the evenings.

We went Canoeing around the marina ( there is a hire place about 15mins walk away for Canoes/ SUP) which was great , walked along the river and explored the local area on foot. The train station so close if you want to explore Southampton or Portsmouth by train or car you can easier. I had seen the sunset picture on the site and the sunsets didn’t disappoint 🙂

Well what a treat! We have spent three days on the river pod and it well exceeded our expectations! The attention to detail and all the additional extras were really lovely! Champagne on arrival with flower, chocolates and a lovely hand written card just for us on our anniversary. It was lovely waking up have a selection of coffee and teas to choose from sitting on verander, surprisingly a kingfisher landed on the decking next to the pod it was fantastic, we have never seen one before so beautiful. When he flew off we sat and fed the swans with the swan food supplied on board whilst having our breakfast that was which was not exapected we though we would have had to go do a big shop once we found our feet such a nice touch. Such a comfy bed slept like a baby, so clean and bright very deceptive from the outside it’s beautiful and spacious inside. The local area is full of surprises there are lots of pubs and dining establishment with excellent quality food. The train is over the road so you can travel to Southampton or Portsmouth dock yard it full of history and shopping in gunwharf keys full of bargains. There are lots of beautiful walks along the river, I feel we will be visiting again just to admire the views. Defiantly booking the river pod for my parents wedding anniversary this year. I was well worth the travel down south and could not recommend this more highly, if I could give more stars I would. Teresa they lady that owns the pod is very lucky to live here and such a friendly person and makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive she showed us to our allocated parking spaces and made us feel welcome. Thank you for making our stay so special and see you again very soon. ❤️

We had an amazing short break on the Pod which far exceeded our expectations. We had informed the owners that we wanted a romantic break and were greeted by a lovely bottle of bubbly and rose petals sprinkled around, a very special start to a truly memorable break. All the little details had been carefully thought through, from ice to keep the G&T’s cold to underfloor heating when it got a bit nippy. The scenery is spectacular and there are lots of lovely places to grab a bite to eat nearby. Would highly recommend!

We booked what the children ( 13 & 10 ) now call “The Water Pod” only a few days in advance as we are always last minute bookers. Our trip could not of been better, Teresa gave us perfect directions which took us to the Marina car park where we had two reserved parking spaces allotted to us. Parking was nice and safe and which is something I always look for in any Hotel or Airbnb. The Water Pod itself was just perfect and spotlessly clean and tidy with everything you needed to get yourself started so we never had to dash of to the shops on arrival which is always nice. Tv and WiFi were perfect however, so was sitting on the back of the Pod with a glass of wine watching the Children catch Crabs. The location was very convenient for us as we were visiting The National Motor Museum at Beaulie and also the Historic Dock Yard at Portsmouth. We will I am sure visit again and if you are looking for something that is more entertaining than the usual place to stay this hits the spot. 10/10 Dave, Cambridge
